Mittens is a gathering of independant/amateur adventure game developers who wish to meet up with other people with the same interest as them - creating adventure games! It is open to people from all communites, but the most popular turn-out seems to be people from the AGS community. WHERE IS MITTENS? Mittens 2004 is being held in the USA. More information to follow. WHY THE NAME MITTENS? Captain Mostly thought up the name. It's not an acronym, it's just a silly word. HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE? Mittens is open to all AGS users over the age of 15, but as it is an international event you must have your parents permission (if under 18) to travel to Mittens. Often you may find that other Miteneers are travelling from the same country as you and so meeting up with them first can be a good idea. CAN I BRING A FRIEND? If they sign up and show interest in adventure game creation, then we don't see why not. We don't however want you bringing your parents etc. Mittens is open to responsible, mature induviduals. If you're parents wish to speak to a Mittens supervisor beforehand then please contact us. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Effectivly, Mittens is FREE. You will have to pay for your own travel to the location of Mittens (i.e. plane fare, bus fare, etc), and you will have to be able to pay for your own food too. If the location desires it, then you may have to pay an accomodation charge, (luckily there is no accomodation charge this year). SO HOW MUCH SHOULD I BRING? Check back later for information.
